               Mountains                                                Appendix    C 1

     Mountain - Any large object, real or imaginary that prevents me from going forward in my spiritual life. Usually built at least for the most part by myself, or the circumstances that I have got myself into, by misunderstandings, misdoings, wrongdoings, not thinking things through, failing to get help when needed, not praying, ---, ---.

          Mk 11:22-23,  Matt 21:21
     Jesus said, "have faith in GOD. I assure you that whoever tells this mountain to get up and through itself into the sea and does mot doubt in his heart, but believes it will happen, it will be done for you. If you believe, you will receive whatever you ask in prayer".  ( You must ask and be ready to follow guidance ).

          Is 40:31
     Those who trust in the LORD for their help will find strength and reward. They will rise up on wings like eagles; they will run and not get tired; they will walk and not grow weak.        ( With God I Can )

          Phlp 4:13
     I have the to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives Me.

     We all have our mountains. Now there are 5 ways to face your mountain:
  1.  Don't even recognize it - and keep plodding along in your rut.
  2.  look at it and say "WHOA!!" "This is tooo much! I cant handle this!! In which case you just threw a large rock on your mountain.
  3.  Say "so what" and keep trudging in your rut.
  4.  Attack it like a bull moose*1 and get it over-with without learning a thing; problem is that until you learn your lesson it will peep coming back.
  5.  The best way is to approach it with your tools; then say "mountain, with Jesus Christ help, WE will move you and I will learn the lesson that is within you; at which Jesus will assign you a work area then He will go to the other side and remove some large boulders*2, ; before long there will be a few piles that you can handle. Then you will learn the Lessons that were in it; therefore you will gain in knowledge, experience, physical, mental and spiritual strength and wisdom; then you'll be on top of that mountain and be ready for another challenge. After you have conquered a few of your own mountains, you will be ready to help someone else with an insurmountable mountain.

     *1  Any one that has had the opportunity of watching a bull moose put his rack down and walk through 1+2 inch dead tree branches as if they were not there, knows exactly what I mean.

     *2  Fear, anxiety, intimidation, desire to do ---; attitude blocks - (doors and gates; physical, mental lack of confidence.

     Most people have similar mountains; sex, money, mental, physical, spiritual, spiritual, bad habits, or a combination..

               Trees of Life      Jan 06; Nov-Dec 07; Feb-Mar+Apr 08; Mar 19 09; Oct 10
                                  Gen 2:8 + 3:24          Rev 2:7 + 22:2

               This is a work in progress

     In every culture from the beginning of history, there have been trees of life, related symbols, stories and legends.
     In Hebrew and Christian Bibles in Genesis [ the beginnings ], the story tells us of 2 trees, the tree of life 2:9, and the tree of knowledge [ of good and bad ] 2:17, when Adam and Eve [ first man - first woman - not real names ] partook of the fruit of knowledge, things started down hill for them and all generations since. In Noah and the prophets, and through Christ, God gave us another chance, as a people we blew it, even today only about 2%  of the population of the Earth is truly Christian; although a much higher % proclaim to be.
     two trees are mentioned, the tree of knowledge , which gives us the ability to learn; and the tree of life, which we need to develop now!! God gave us free will so we can make a choice.     { Salvation }

     It is essential that you start developing and growing your tree of life; so you can benefit from all of the blessings that you are entitled to; and so your tree may be a tree of life for others.
     Trees filter the air making it breathable. Provide: shelter, protection [ from the storms of life ], shade from hot sun [ a cool place to communicate with God ], fruit to eat [ nourishment for body and spirit] lumber for homes and furniture [ alter and resting place in your temple ]; paper products [ books to learn from ], mulch for gardens [ nourishment for mind and soul], ---.
     How many of these does your tree provide ??

  ------------------------------------------------------------------

     This is the root, trunk, and some of the branches of your Tree of Life

   LISTEN! - PAY ATTENTION!! This is the main tap root!  Prv 4:20; Rev 1:3 + 22:17; Ex 15:26, Rom 10:17; Zech 4:15; Prv 1:8-9, 2:1-2, 3:1-6, 4:1-9+10-13, 7:1-5; Ps 94:12; Lk 11:27b-28; Jn 20:29; Rev 14:13; / Gtom 1

   Prayer - the 2 way act of communicating with the Lord, you should learn how to listen as well as requesting, ---.  LK 18:11 + 7-8 + 13+16-17

   LOVE - This is the foundation that supports everything else.   Num 24:9b   { LOVE }

   Fear the Lord! - This is the main trunk of your tree.  Prv 14:27, Mal 4:2; Jsh 4:24 { fear the LORD }

   Thank the LORD! - Being Thankful shows appreciation for what the Lord, His Angels, and other helpers have done; this is what brings more help, healing, blessings, and protection; - This is the rain for your tree.   Ps 30:2, 103:2

   HONOR! - the Lord, parents, authorities*, associates, others; Give them their due credit, all of it!   Prv 2:9-10, Jms 4:11-12, Ex 20:12; Deut 5:16; Matt 15:4

   RESPECT! - The LORD, parents, authorities* associates, others; so you can have a long prosperous life.    Matt 15:4, Jms 4:11-12, Ex 20:12, Deut 5:16

   Obey! - he LORD, parents, authorities*; ---.     Ex 15:26, Matt 15:4, Jms 4:11-12, Ex 20:12, Deut 5:16

   * If the authorities are not worth your respect or honor - better talk with the Lord about this.

   Truthful, honest - always be honest even if it gets you into trouble.   Ps 112:5-7

   Righteousness -     Prv 11:30

   Tithe - 1/10th of your resources, to support Gods work [ usually through the Church ]
   Full Tithe - Your 1/10th plus an amount equal to 1/10th of your tithe, the additional 1/10th is your choice as to what charity it goes to; a full additional 1/10th is good only if you can afford it.

   Charity - to support your mission or the cause that you feel is what GOD wants you to do. [ do not say much about this or you'll loose some of the blessings ] Giving your time and talents to help others.

   Discipline - Good self and social discipline, enables you to work with others -   Ps 94:12, Prv 29:17+18b
     This should be part of your regular maintenance procedure, a Christian with-out discipline, is not much of a Christian. This shows weak faith.

   Patience - with the Lord, authorities, people, yourself, situations -   Ps 94:12, Jms 5:7-8

     No Forgiveness = NO FORGIVENESS     Matt 6:15
     This is a way of pruning your tree, of undesirable growth, that will eventually choke your tree and make it useless.
