First of all Prayer is a means of communication between our Lord and ourselves.
PRAYER . Appendix C # 6
Prayer is usually a time of peace and quiet, such as your little corner*, a chapel, church or down by the water, where you can make your request for your acquaintances and their family, and your friends and families, then your family and finally yourself, known unto the Lord. Even more important, we should learn how to listen to and hear the Lord and His Angels. This takes time and discipline; because you have to get your own mind quiet enough to for this to happen. But, often with your busy schedule, your prayer time is while your doing dishes, laundry, driving to work, ---. But; when your given a prayer request, that is, the time to to say a momentary prayer, no matter what your doing! This is difficult for some of us, and at times, next to impossible, but very rewarding when this lesson is learned. Discipline Appendix D
* Being in the same place at the same time each day helps, because, this establishes a regular prayer time and place for the prayer Prayer Angels as well as me in the habit of being being there.

Praying remotely* is usually safer, because you are NOT in the same area as the one that you are praying for; but, this is by no means a reason for letting your protective shield down; because if bad spirits are involved, it won't take them long to find you! * remote - any place outside of the room, house, or property; - can be your place. 14. When you are praying in the same area as the one being prayed for, you had better have your protective shields up, because you are facing the advisory face to face! You don't want it attacking or controlling you. You should start praying for protection at least 10-20 minutes before you get there, longer may be better. A. When you are placing your hands on the one being prayed for, pray for clarity of mind and protection, for as long before you get there as possible; because, when you place your hands on the other person, you are providing a direct path for the culprits to follow, as well as a stream of prayer energy going in. If you don't pray before hand, you can be facing some serious problems. Note, I would not recommend the laying on of hands, until you are well grounded in the principles of faith and prayer, in and through your Lord, Jesus Christ. 15. Praying anonymously, is not always necessary, or recommended; but is handy when asked to pray for situations you are not sure about, and don't feel comfortable getting too involved in. Yes, you are safer; yes, you are not as involved; no, your prayers are not as effective.
