YOUR CASTLE July 9, 2009
When you think about this, Jesus said, if you are loyal to Him and the Father that He would provide a place for you in Heaven; He also said that if you are humble and follow the Commandments as well as the Beatitudes, that your rewards in Heaven will be great. Jesus said that He would provide a place for you, He never said anything about pictures on the wall, or trophies on the mantel; so where is all of this is coming from?
Lets look at this as if you are signing up for a job that provides housing for its' employees, you get there and there is a basic dwelling, equipped with basic utilities, a place for a basic vehicle, and not much else; so you have to provide the moving van full of furniture, pictures, clothing, entertainment equipment and trophies for the mantle. So where does all this come from? Efforts, credits and money earned on previous jobs.
Now when you go to Heaven, you cannot take a moving van full of stuff! So where does the stuff that you need come from? The stuff that you need, in Heaven, comes from the rewards earned by quietly doing the various jobs for the Lord here on Earth! So while you are growing in Christ and the Holy Spirit here on earth, you are building your Castle in Heaven, and providing it with the furnishings that you will need, as well as the credits and blessings for a job well done.
So to summarize, as you grow in Christ and the Holy Spirit, you are developing your suit of armor, growing your tree of life, and building your castle in Heaven; so as you weather the storms of life here on Earth, remember the promises of God, and thank Him for the tests, and the victories; then give the Lord the credit, remembering that without God's Angels we would only be able to do a small fraction of what we are doing.
