     LETTER

We will start praying for you while you are still on the phone.

Then if your Problem is bad enough we will explain the Prayer Shawl program to you.

A Shawl is like an over-sized scarf, usually worn around the shoulders, often as a decorative garment. A Prayer Shawl is more than that, it offers a sense of comfort and warmth, an assurance that someone is praying for you; every time that you use it, you will benefit from the blessings and prayers that have been directed toward it.
A Prayer Shawl is basically a shawl, Kerchief, bandanna, lap-robe, blanket, ---, ---, * anything that has been Prayed over, and sent with GOD'S Blessings.  * which ever is appropriate for person, condition, or circumstances.
How effective are they? This depends on the person receiving the gift, as well as, the one presenting the gift; and the follow-up and follow through prayers.
A Shawl sent by a Prayer Group with an initial prayer and blessing is just that; - But with follow-up and follow-through prayers, with regular visits by members of the Prayer Group*, this Prayer Shawl can become a real point of contact, and conductor of many comforts and blessings; which can and often does lead to a real healing.   * This may be done by whatever means are appropriate for the circumstances; both yours and yours.
On the other hand, if the person intended to receive the Shawl doesn't have any faith in our integrity or ability to pray effective prayers, or the ability of the shawl to carry a prayer blessing, or perhaps don't have any faith in prayer; - than ---.
Or if the person receiving the Shawl sets it aside and don't use it, than the Shawl has lost its' ability to act as a point of contact*, - But, this does not mean that your prayers are not being answered; quite the contrary, the Angels of God can deliver your prayers with or without the Shawl.   * Perhaps the person may feel inspired to pick up the shawl and start using it, or perhaps just the sight of it is enough to remind H-- who is praying for H--.
The Prayer Shawl is a physical means of warmth, comfort, affirmation, love, healing; as well as a reminder of who is praying for you.
Remember the Shawl is little more than a piece of cloth that has been blessed with a mission to comfort, warm, show love and caring and act as a point of contact for our prayers and blessings; and remind H-- who is praying for H--.
Also remember that the Shawl in it self, only has what power we have given it; - or the one receiving it allows it ti have.
It is important to remember, that the one presenting the Prayer Shawl is responsible, for following up on the prayers, rather it be a week, month, year, or several years.  This is where a Prayer Journal would be handy or essential.

This Prayer Shawl is presented by the members of the Rock-A-Bye Prayer Circle. Rockabyecottage.net    ELAS@tds.net

This was inspired by the presenting of a Prayer Shawl from a good friend, by the pastor of our local Church, to my wife in a time of need.
There are books on Prayer Shawl, some even describes the effects of the colors within the Shawl.
Other prayer groups, and churches have Prayer Shawl programs, each program is as unique as the group itself.
