As you get dressed in the morning, envision yourself putting on your truss*1, and your suit of armor on; stand firm with the belt of truth buckled around your waist; the breastplate of righteousness in place*2, your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the Gospel of Peace. In addition take up your Shield of Faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one; put on the Helmet of Salvation and the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Pray for others in need, and pray for your own strength, and thank the Lord for all His help; think positive, God is watching you and declare the word of God often. Various Sources
*1 Truss - a strong tie or fasten; a strong support that is unyielding ( a truss bridge ) a padded garment worn under armor, to protect the body; to seize and hold firmly. You may think of Jesus Christ and His Angels as your truss; fellowship with other Christians as your tie;; and Prayer as the fasteners that holds everything together.
*2 It is important to shield your back as your front, because tempter will squiggle through any open or weak spot that he can find to present his stumbling block to trip you up.
ST. PATRICK"S BREASTPLATE ( LORI CA ) ( the DEERS CRY )
Ps. 91:4
Appendix C5a 11 12 04 8 27 09
This is a good way to think as you study and learn to pray, while you are developing your armor.
Envision in the morning and then wherever you see trouble starting; Christ before me! Christ Behind me! Christ to my right! Christ to my left! Christ over me! Christ under me! Christ all around me! Christ within me! Envision Christ watching over me; protecting me, guiding me, teaching me. Dear Lord Christ I THANK YOU.
This is a good prayer to think on and envision at any stage of spiritual development. There are several versions of this prayer. This is only a small part of St. Patrick's Prayer, in which this is prayer reoccurs a few times, slightly reworded each time.
NOTE - There is a lot more to this for both you and others around you.
